About Me

Hi, my name is Declan Ruiz and I am a senior at Brownsburg High School in Brownsburg, Indiana. A little about me is I love to play baseball; I play for Brownsburg High School and I used to play for a travel team in the summer. I also am a huge fan of Ohio State and will be for the rest of my life. I am an outstanding student that strives in the classroom and on the field. I have always been the type of kid to get A's in all my classes because that's just how I was raised. Too go along with that I am in my 4th year of the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses called Engineering Design & Development (EDD). The difference between this engineering class and the previous three is that; Introduction to Engineering & Design (IED) was more software based and getting used to engineering as a whole, Principles of Engineering (POE) consisted mostly of math equations and problems, and Civil Engineering & Architecture (CEA) was all about codes of a building & how to construct a building using Revit. However, Engineering Design & Development (EDD) is two class periods a day and consists of entirely working on producing a product from the ground up.

My goal for this page and for this year is to update all my information & progress made on my project on this website, gain experience, and gain knowledge from working with my partner & consultant to help me make an outstanding senior project. This website will act as my portfolio to document my progress throughout the course of this project and  school year of 2018-2019.
